This is a quite rare brown shade Emeralite desk lamp from the 1920's. These lights will most often be in green but occasionally they were made in brown as well as other even rarer colors such as red and blue.
The base is the original base and the stem is bronze plated white metal. The finish is a little distressed on the stem. I have one other base that would be appropriate for this lamp.
