#2556 Four-light Aesthetic Movement

This light is small but the way it captures the expression
and motifs of the Anglo-Japanese Aesthetic movement are
huge.  The magnificent cast open work center box
displays a Japanese vase with stylised geometric
flowers.  The border below is a repetition of sunflowers,
the symbol of the Aesthetic movement.  Gracefully
arching over the box are four stems that end at the arm
with geometric flowers with three stamens.  On the
bottom of the light are two cast low-relief foliate and
flowers pieces that are echoed in a matching larger one
that is the canopy.  I have seen larger and more
valuable lights that were not as well designed as this one.
