This is one of the most magnificent Art Nouveau lady lamps I have ever owned. Entitled "Nouveau Siècle" and signed by Emmanuel Villanis (1858-1914).
The statue was in very bad condition when I got it. The white metal was poorly plated and covered with corrosion and blistering. I sanded the entire figure with a Dremil tool. I then put on a new patina using chemicals, acrylics and waxes. I think the results are magnificent.
She is demure, sensual, and alluring this is a marvelous lamp!
